Serve a couple of Irish lagers, ales and stouts to keep every drinker’s palate happy. Guiness and Murphy’s Irish stout are staple dark beers for an Irish pub. Kilkenny Irish cream ale, Harp lager and Murphy’s Irish red are other good selections. Lagers and ales has to be force carbonated on tap, while Irish style stouts are in most cases infused with nitrogen. Because of the nitrogen, Irish style stouts pour with a thick head that takes a few minutes to settle. Train bartenders and staff to pour beer at a 45 degree angle to reduce head and to do other tasks while the froth settles.
